GTA IV is a digital game developed for PS3, Xbox and PC. It is a narrative based game whereby the audience become a character who is assigned to missions in order to complete the narrative.

The game also takes on a paidea format allowing the audience to navigate and roam freely around the virtual map, as well as interact with other anthropometric characters.

The narrative has various outcomes depending on which direction the user chooses to take, for example, many missions will determine the outcome and direction of the narrative, killing a character will send the plot one way, saving him would be send it another.
The combination of a game and narrative allow the audience to play the game whilst following a plot. The narrative also consists of an imperfective aspect as there are various paths that the audience can take and no outcome will ever be the same, this also allows for endless self-regeneration.

The pathways of the plot also allow for numerous outcomes and this adds to the entertainment value for the audience.

The game is highly interactive as users must interact with the surroundings and environment as well as other digital characters in order to complete, suceed and progress throughout.
